Welcome to Reptilian Asylums. We specialize in providing innovative hybridized enclosure systems for small to medium sized reptiles. Our tub-based enclosures are ideal for arboreal and semi-arboreal species required controlled temperature, thermal gradients, and humidity such as Corallus and Morelia genus, and some species of lizards. Our enclosures combine the low cost, compact, modular, and hygienic features of tubs with the option for fully integrated complete environmental controls and accessories, all in one convenient system, ready for use with minimum set-up.
Why Tub-Based Systems
Tubs are used extensively for reptile enclosures. They are inexpensive, compact, readily available, easy to set-up, clean, and maintain, and fill a market demand particularly for breeders who keep many animals. However, tubs are not particularly attractive or good for showcasing reptiles, nor are they suitable for small to medium sized adults that require additional environmental accommodations for a long-term habitat.
Full size enclosures, such as those constructed out of expanded PVC sheet, are excellent at providing additional space and the environmental accommodations and features that allow keepers to showcase their unique species. Some keepers maintain complete walls or rooms filled with full size enclosures, displaying their animals. These full-size enclosures can be expensive, time consuming to set-up and maintain, and require more space to accommodate.
Here at Reptilian Asylums, we believe there is a niche market somewhere between tubs and full-size traditional enclosures. For those keepers who desire more than one or two animals, but don’t have the space, time, or resources for dozens of animals, our tub-based enclosures offer an attractive compromise between basic tubs and full-size traditional enclosures. A modest number of small to medium size animals can be kept in our tub-based systems that offer arboreal features, attractive backgrounds, desired temperature/humidity/air flow requirements for different species, all in an attractive, lightweight, compact polycarbonate tub offering a stunning view of your animals, are quick and easy to set-up. The tub systems utilize the highest grade materials and state of the ar technology providing for easy cleaning, improved hygiene, and reliability. The motion activated day/night wi-fi camera ensures keepers never miss any of their animals’ activities. Our tub-based systems are available complete, with all features, ready to use, or can be customized with only the features you need.
